Cindy Laschuk, PMP
Cindy is an experienced entrepreneur having built four start up companies and has varied knowledge of different industries, such as education, manufacturing and distribution, law, non-profits, and digital marketing. She prioritizes a client-first, values based approach aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. She believes this a key element that enables her to focus prioritizes and tasks, as well as lead a team to success
Known for her business acumen and communication skills, she is a proven leader with strategic board experience in education. She served as a board member for both the Project Management Institute Canadian West Coast Chapter and Southpointe Academy, a K-12 Independent school. She lent her expertise and project managed several application technology initiatives that helped improve and automate processes. She is passionate about process improvement and setting up efficiencies for operations in both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
She helps clients develop a foundation of processes and documentation using Sharepoint and trains employees. She believes in encouraging future leaders within teams, and helping them to develop their strengths. She has a passion for mentoring and encouraging people to be their best selves. You will find Cindy is personable and confident in engaging stakeholders from all areas and from different positions.
Cindy is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) and has a Bachelor of Arts from York University. She also has an Applied Information Technology post graduate diploma from ITI. She is a member of the Project Management Institute and the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis).
Cindy sits on the board of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Canadian West Coast Chapter as VP of Professional Development. She has chaired the largest project management conference for two years in a row, called PM West. www.pmi.bc.ca/annual-conference
For larger projects, Cindy has a network of preferred expert professionals that she works with from leadership training, strategic planning, IT implementation, and other project managers.
Cindy is one of the most organized people I know. She excels at planning, communicates and listens effectively, and is goal-oriented. Her experience volunteering, building teams and mentoring evidences her high EQ. I hope we continue to engage in common projects for many years to come.
I have had a wonderful experience working with Cindy for several years on Vancouver’s chapter of the Project Management Institute. Cindy has shown remarkable tenacity and skill as she led the chapter through several very impactful projects. Most recently, she pulled off our most successful annual conference of all time. She consistently goes above and beyond, is highly reliable, and fun to work with.
First and foremost, Cindy is affable and pleasant in dealing with others. She’s interested in people and demonstrates a responsive communication style. She is often lively and confident in social situations, and comfortable meeting new people and using her outgoing, optimistic nature to initiate relationships and persuasively sell ideas.
